Career and Higher Education Forum

The Career Forum is organised in partnership with the APL and the CIO which includes the orientation services of the Lycée Charles de Gaulle.

It is a team work that begins in January to materialize the last Saturday in November, with the concern of answering in the best way possible the needs of our students and their parents.

This forum is open to students from the Seconde to Terminale and its goal is to help the students define or discover the careers or studies which will be theirs after their course at the Lycée.

Every year, the schools and universities are carefully selected and invited to come to introduce and explain their curriculum to our students. Conferences on new themes or repeated every year are thought out jointly by the CIO and APL, then organised the Friday evening or/and Saturday, day of the forum.

The interest of the Forum is the mix between parents professionally devoted who come share their job experience with our students, and interviews with schools and Universities in France, United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and Switzerland.

This wealth of information is an asset for our children. Parents know that well since they accompany their children through their steps, at home and on the day of the Forum.

Forum 2014 : an excellent year !

The last 2014 edition of the Career Forum has just ended with a record influx of students and parents. The Forum started Friday evening with a conference on preparatory schools for entrance to the Grandes Ecoles and went on all day on Saturday with conferences at the French Institut and meetings with speakers.

Seven conferences were held, among which were World Class Study London, Study at Sciences Po Paris or Digital Technology: what jobs for tomorrow?

With 160 exhibitors this year, our Lycée students were able to profit from the presence of new speakers, for example, the Sorbonne, Polytechnique, ENSAE, Cass Faculty of Arts, Architecture and Design, London School of Communication or Sport Management School.
